Inaugurated in 2009, this museum is housed in a former fondouk (caravanserai/warehouse) transformed into a cultural space in the heart of the medina. Its impressive collection features more than 10,000 photographs dating from 1870 to 1950, covering a wide range of historical and cultural themes linked to Morocco’s past. Special emphasis is given to portraits and landscapes, with some images even preserved on glass plates. For the curious and for photography enthusiasts alike, this is truly a must-visit.
